There was an article by Dalson Chen in The Windsor Star a few weeks ago about Windsor's apparent lack of a memorable tourist t-shirt. In the article, there was a call out to anyone interested in creating such a shirt. I had first heard about all of this at a Design Intervention meeting shortly after my friend Jessica Apolloni's design had been published in the paper, so I had assumed the contest was over. However, it had turned out that my design and layout professor, Gord Oglan, had made an arrangement with Dalson to allow all of his students to submit a design as a project in his class.

My friend Justin showed me this awesome animated film called "Waking Life." It's animated using a technique called rotoscoping, which involves filming a live action sequence and then animating by tracing over the live sequence giving it a vector like quality.

Some new updates have been made to the site. Those with keen observational skills will notice the new netFORK section that has been added to the sidebar. In addition to the more well known networks (facebook, youtube, etc.), I've added a link to my stumbleupon page. In case you're not familiar with it, stumbleupon is an internet exploration tool similar to Digg or Reddit.
